Ventores Safety Footstrap - automatic release system inspired by ski bindings

When dangerous loads occur, the patented Ventores safety footstrap is designed to release, helping to keep your foot from getting trapped during a fall and reducing the risk of serious foot, ankle, ligament, and bone injuries. Unlike conventional footstraps, which remain fixed, the Ventores footstrap features an automatic release mechanism. Inspired by the safety principles of ski bindings, it combines a secure hold while riding with a controlled release when it matters most.

Plug & play compatibility

The footstrap fits all standard sizes, no matter whether your feet are small or large and whether you are riding barefoot or not. You can adjust the fit using velcro fasteners. The footstrap is compatible with all standard boards and boats that have footstraps and mounting with one screw on each side (screws and plates are not included).

Adjustable to your riding style

Depending on body weight, experience and style of riding, the releasing force can be adjusted infinitely from light to strong by using a standard allen key (included). For your convenience, there are three level-indicators. The opening mechanism can also be locked completely.

Easy to reset – even on the water

In case of a release, the footstrap can be closed again in a few simple steps directly on the water. 

Built for modern watersports

The footstrap is ideal for disciplines where speed, control, and safety matter most like windsurfing, wingfoiling or sailing (foiling catamarans, skiffs, high-speed setups)

The footstrap is not intended for extreme use cases, especially not for freestyle tricks, jumps and  wave manoeuvres. It is intended to reduce your risk of injury when doing watersports. However, as watersports are challenging and sometimes dangerous, you can of course still get injured.
